A year after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, there was still much restoration work that needed to be done. The National Church of God had set up facilities at the Metairie, Louisianna Church of God, to house and coordinate work camps. Upon arrival, our team was assigned to the home of Roosevelt & Johnette Jackson. Their house had already been gutted and was ready for sheetrock, so we became a sheetrock crew for the week. When we left, the house was ready to be painted! We also spent time touring the areas of New Orleans where so much was destroyed, as well as worshiping with our hosts.
