Our church  first became involved with missions work teams when Bland & Barbara Smith joined with a group from Southside Church of God in St. Louis, Missouri on a trip to Lima, Peru. The trip was led by Roma Lee Courvisier. The construction project was to build Sunday School rooms onto the Church of God in the community of Caja de Agua, Peru.
