I hope the Christmas and New Year holidays brought much joy to you and your families. I took some time off to enjoy the season. Time to march forward and embrace the New Year. I saw new faces at church on Sunday. I am anxious to get to know you better.
The WCG (Women of The Church of God) Christ Birthday Observance theme, Follow The Star, gave us an opportunity to prepare our hearts during the advent season as we welcomed the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The proceeds from our November Bazaar and Bake Sale plus the special offering taken during the morning worship service on December 20th was $2,417.96. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard and gave so generously. Thanks to Amanda Bushley, our WCG Treasurer. She has already sent the money to our WCG State Treasurer who will send it on to our headquarters in Anderson, Indiana. God will multiply and bless the gift and the giver as every penny is used toward ministry.
Genesis meal
for January. On Tuesday evening, January 19 our local group will provide a hot meal to the women and children staying at Genesis. The famous WCG crock pot lasagna will be served. If you would like to provide an accompanying side dish please let me know. I can pick up your dish or you can meet me at Genesis at 4:50 p.m.

Friday January 15, 2010, Barbara Smith and Lindall Mostajo, will be traveling to Tan Tara Resort at Lake of the Ozarks to join our state executive board. Our task is to make the final preparations for our State WCG Convention. Save the date: Three days beginning Friday, April 30, 2010 until noon on Sunday, May 2, 2010. Plan now to attend the Missouri State WCG Convention.

Our next WCG meeting will be Tuesday evening, January 19, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. We will enjoy sister sharing and begin our planning session and special lesson at 6:30. Lisa Hamilton will continue our studies on Women Developed by God. I will be bringing veggies and dip. Anyone can bring a snack to share.
SPA DAY: Our annual winter get together will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, January 30th. If you have never come to a WCG Spa Day ask some of our ladies to tell you about it! It is a fun filled afternoon. Think of palm trees and flip flops! (Snow Date Feb. 6th)
Volunteers are needed. Can you serve on the Spa Day Committee? Set up and clean up people will need to come one hour before or stay one hour after.
